This Halloween Niles has more Halloween events than ever.  Too many to mention here.  There are several Trunk or Treats taking place throughout the area.  Churches, schools, organizations and businesses are planning events to make your children smile.  We can't list them all, but we will tell you about some of them.  Check out the Fall Festival flyer below and keep your eyes open for the promotion of other area Halloween events.  Before you start dressing your little ghouls and goblins, review the Niles Fire Department's Safety Tips that follow for a Fun & Safe Halloween.
The City of Niles has set the official date and time for door to door neighborhood Trick or Treating for Wednesday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  We ask all parents to help make Halloween another fun and safe event for the children of our community.

Please remember these few simple rules:

It is best to know what neighborhood your children will be trick or treating in; small children need a parent or older adult with them; children’s faces should not be covered by masks that obstruct their view, they need to be able to see all around them.

Children need to wear bright clothing or reflective strips to make it easier for motorists to see them.

Remind children to go only to the houses that have porch or outside lights on and to carry a flashlight or some other light when it gets darker.

Parents should check all candy before your children eat it.

Have Fun and Be Safe this Halloween!
